Stuttering Center Activities

The clinicians and researchers at the Stuttering Center are constantly searching for new ways to help people who stutter and their families. Here is an overview of some recent accomplishments:

J. Scott Yaruss, PhD, CCC-SLP, BRS-FD, ASHA Fellow

  • Has recently coauthored TWO books about children who stutter, both available from Stuttering Therapy Resources, Inc.
  • OASES-A, OASES-S and OASES-T are now available

Special versions of the Overall Assessment of the Speaker's Experience of Stuttering (OASES) are now available. OASES-S for school-age children (ages 7-12) and OASES-T for teenagers (ages 13-17) have been published by Pearson Assess-ments to supplement the OASES-A for adults. These comprehensive assessment tools provide information about the entirety of the stuttering disorder, not just the surface features. Info is at www.PearsonAssessments.com/oases.aspx.
